We recently did a survey to see how many of you actually use hemp oil and to find out what your main questions were.

It was really interesting to see that over half of you that use Hemp oil (CBD) are doing so to relieve stress and anxiety and 45% of you are using it to improve sleep and relieve pain (such as muscle, chronic, and joint pain) 

So of course one of the main questions was  'How does it really work?'

So for starters, your body already naturally produces Endocannabinoids.  Our mood, happiness, fear, anxiety, and ability to endure stress are all regulated by your Endocannabinoid system.

The below molecules that are produced by your Endocannabinoid system in your body, and also abundant in Hemp oil are: 

• Anandamide (interestingly named after the Sanskrit for 'bliss' or 'happiness') 
• 2-arachidonoylglyerol which helps regulate appetite, immune system functions and pain management.

These molecules bind to your CB1 receptors to give you a general feeling of wellbeing and happiness (activating your serotonin receptors), while also binding to your CB2 receptors, helping to reduce inflammation and manage pain.  Using Hemp oil (CBD) is effectively a boost for your Endocannabinoid system. 

Overlaid on this are the long term benefits of using a highly nutritious plant rich omega fatty acid ( a vegan alternative to fish oil).  I never liked the idea of the left over unwanted fish crushed into a little capsule!

Better Sex: There are multiple advantages of using Hemp Oil, especially for women! Activation of the CB1 receptors, results in more available dopamine, which lets you be more ‘in the moment’ and, therefore, able to climax more easily- and apparently have a stronger and longer climax. While activating CB2 receptors can allow for a stronger message of touch to be sent to the brain!
